Our Story

Make Cameroonian languages accessible, engaging, and fun for everyone

Background

We started this platform because we saw a challenge:

  • Many young Cameroonians and members of the diaspora are losing touch with their mother tongues.

  • Traditional language learning methods are often rigid, expensive, or unavailable online.

So we built an LMS where anyone can:

  • 📱 Learn at their own pace.

  • 🎧 Listen to native speakers.

  • 🤝 Join a global community of learners and culture lovers.

Today, Cameroon eTranslate is more than a platform—it’s a movement to keep Cameroonian languages alive for generations to come.

Mission & Vision

At Cameroon eTranslate, our mission and vision come together in one purpose:

To preserve, promote, and teach Cameroonian languages in a way that is modern, accessible, and meaningful.

We aim to reconnect people with their roots, empower the diaspora to speak with pride, and introduce the world to Cameroon’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity.

Through technology, community, and creativity, we envision a future where every Cameroonian language—whether Ewondo, Duala, Bassa, Fulfulde, Pidgin English, or the Bamileke dialects—thrives, is spoken across generations, and continues to tell the stories of our people.
